Lintel EA: an enterprise architecture repository where every decision leaves a record
Lintel EA gives an architecture team one governed home for its capability model, requirements, architecture decisions and review board. AI helps draft the requirements. People decide, and the system keeps the record. Built by eAzI IT, hosted in the UK.
The brief
Architecture should leave a record, not a slide deck
In most organisations architecture lives in diagrams, spreadsheets and the memory of a few people. When the review board meets, nobody can quite say what was agreed, why, or against which principle.
Lintel EA was built to fix that: a structured repository, a review board that runs on the record, and a strict chain from principles to patterns so every solution can be assessed and every decision explained.
What it does
The capabilities
Capture requirements with AI
An AI interview asks the questions and drafts requirements as you talk, or pulls them out of pasted meeting notes. Each one is tagged Must, Should, Could or Won’t (MoSCoW) with a priority owner and acceptance criteria. You can also add them by hand, paste a list, or import Excel or CSV.
Match them to your capabilities
Every requirement is matched against your published capability model, with up to three suggestions showing the confidence and the words that matched. An architect accepts or rejects each one, and the decision is recorded.
A capability model you can govern
Capabilities from L0 to L5, held as versions with an approval step before publishing. Import from Excel, compare versions and see heat maps of application coverage, cost, lifecycle and requirements demand.
An ArchiMate-aligned repository
Elements and relationships follow ArchiMate 3.2 and the rules are checked as you go. Changes go in as change sets that a second person approves, with data-quality figures to show how complete the model is.
TOGAF-aligned engagements
Raise an architecture request, triage it and take it through governance gates, with the TOGAF ADM phase map alongside, work products, scope and timeline. Gates that need a decision go straight to the review board.
Governance that explains itself
Principles, standards, policies and patterns sit in a strict chain, so nothing floats free. Score a solution or any repository element against the chain and see what is met, what is missed and why.
Run the ARB on the record
Meetings, submissions, agendas, quorum, member votes, the Chair’s decision and tracked actions, all on screen. Agenda, pack, minutes and a decision log come out printable, and the log exports to CSV.
RAID and reporting
A single register for risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies with scoring and a heat map. 21 standard reports, a report builder with saved reports, dashboards, and CSV or PowerPoint export in your organisation’s theme.
The AI decision
AI drafts and suggests. It does not decide.
Off until you switch it on
AI is off by default and is set per organisation by an administrator. Organisations that do not want it never see it.
Suggestions only
Anything AI drafts is a proposal. A person reviews it before it becomes a requirement, and matches are accepted or rejected by an architect.
Your choice of provider
Use the Anthropic API or a UK or EU OpenAI-compatible host. The key is held in server configuration, never in the application.
Logged without the text
Every AI call is recorded in the audit trail without storing what was sent, so you can show it happened without keeping a second copy of your content.
Built in properly
Secure, separate and auditable
Separate tenants and environments
Each organisation has its own tenant, with separate development, staging and live environments and controlled promotion between them.
Roles and sign-in that fit
Viewer, contributor, architect and administrator roles, passkey sign-in, and an audit trail of who changed what.
Your branding
Theme the application in your organisation’s colours and logo. ArchiMate layer and status colours stay fixed so they always mean the same thing.
What this project says about how we work
We decide where AI belongs before we build. In Lintel EA it drafts and suggests. People decide and the record shows who.
We build for the organisation that has to answer for the decision. That is why the record is the product.
We build the thing we sell. Lintel EA is our own product, built the same UK-hosted way we would build yours.
